Overview

A one day workshop on the practical application of procurement. Participants will walk through the procurement process and conduct exercises to reinforce key aspects of procurement.

The course provides an outline of relevant Commonwealth policies including the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs) as well as the organisations framework, including processes and supporting guidance/documentation.

The course is best suited to staff regularly undertaking procurement (low to high value/risk), including:

  • Planning process
  • Approach to market
  • Evaluating responses
  • Seeking approval from the delegate
  • Entering into contracts

This course aims to develop knowledge in undertaking procurement, touching on in-depth concepts and themes. This course is best suited to:

  • staff regularly undertaking procurement, and
  • managers of an area undertaking procurement.
